June 2022 Updates from top Universities for MBA in Canada

Smith School MBA June Updates:

  1. As part of the Venture for Canada (VFC) Fellowship Program, Smith School of Business and the Centre for Business Venturing invited students and recent graduates from across Canada for a three-week entrepreneurial training camp for the seventh consecutive year. At Queen's University, in-person sessions were held for the first time since 2019 in-person. Participants got the chance to expand their networks while participating in intense workshops given by Smith instructors and invited guest speakers to hone their entrepreneurial and leadership abilities. This year's training camp included an alumni summit for the first time, allowing former fellows to come full circle and revisit their roots.

  2. MMIE'22 students Anthony Ighomuaye, Himmat Kaur, and Imane Boudaa, who are all PMP, PSM, and ITIL® certified, had the chance to participate in an international innovation exchange at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business). Through this programme, students can live and study abroad, make friends all around the world, and get a global perspective that can enhance their professional prospects. The group worked with kids from all around the world, and they claim that the experience taught them how diversity provides innovation teams a creative edge. Added knowledge gained? "The academic smack." German students have a custom of knocking on their desks to express gratitude after lectures.

Schulich MBA June Updates

  1. Vijay Setlur, a professor of marketing at Schulich, recently gave an interview to CTV News and BNN Bloomberg. He discussed the #FIFAWorldCup2026, which will be held in Toronto and Vancouver, as well as the opportunity it presents to improve Canada's image around the world.

  2. Together, the Schulich School of Business and CIBC will conduct cutting-edge research in the developing area of sustainable finance. With CIBC's $1.25 million pledge, Schulich will create a new Research Chair in Sustainable Finance to conduct ground-breaking research that satisfies the expanding need for sustainable investments in the financial sector.

  3. The MBA programme at Schulich did well in a number of international rankings that were released throughout the year. In the Economist MBA rating, Schulich came in first in Canada and 21st overall, while in the CNN Expansion "Best Global MBAs" list, Schulich came in first in Canada and 17th overall. According to the findings of a yearly global study carried out by Corporate Knights, Schulich's MBA programme was ranked #4 in the world and #1 in Canada in Responsible Business. In a recent global evaluation conducted by MBA.com, Schulich was also ranked as having one of the most well-liked MBA programmes in the world.
